Potbellied Helicellid
Cochlicella barbara

The potbellied helicellid occupies dry grassland, scrub, field edges, and disturbed ground, often climbing stems and low vegetation. It feeds by scraping algae, dead plant matter, and tender vegetation. During hot, dry periods it can seal itself inside its shell and remain inactive until conditions improve.
