Buff Ermine
Spilarctia lutea
The adult Buff Ermine is a nocturnal moth of gardens, hedgerows, open woodland, and grassland. It flies after dusk and may visit flowers for nectar while searching for mates. Its pale buff wings, marked with small dark spots, can make it surprisingly difficult to notice when resting on light surfaces.
