Versicolor Long-jawed Orbweaver
Tetragnatha versicolor
Adult Versicolor Long-jawed Orbweavers inhabit grasses, shrubs, and low branches near freshwater and moist woodland edges. They construct orb webs to catch flies, mosquitoes, and other small flying insects, then bite and wrap their prey. A notable feature is the adult's exceptionally long jaws, especially pronounced in males.
