Bitter-cress Smudge
Eidophasia messingiella
The adult Bitter-cress Smudge is a tiny moth found around stands of bitter-cress in wooded and moist habitats. It flies chiefly in calm conditions, visiting vegetation to locate mates and suitable egg-laying sites. Though inconspicuous at rest, its narrow wings allow quick, fluttering escapes when disturbed.
