Bull Headed Dung Beetle
Onthophagus taurus
Adult bull-headed dung beetles inhabit pastureland and other places where fresh mammal dung is available. They dig tunnels beneath dung pats, burying portions as food for themselves and their larvae. Males use prominent head horns to wrestle rival males for access to breeding tunnels.
