Head Louse Nymph
Pediculus humanus (nymph)

Head louse nymphs live among human scalp hairs, close to the warm skin where they can feed. They crawl with hooked claws that grip individual hairs and pierce the skin for small blood meals. Unlike adults, nymphs are smaller and must molt three times before reaching maturity.
