Kissing Bug
Rhodnius prolixus

Adult kissing bugs live in sheltered crevices near mammals, birds, and human dwellings in tropical and subtropical habitats. They fly at night to find a host, then feed on blood using a long piercing beak. After feeding, an adult often returns to its hiding place before daylight. This species is an important vector of Trypanosoma cruzi, the parasite responsible for Chagas disease.
