Spindle Ermine Moth
Yponomeuta cagnagella

The adult spindle ermine moth occurs around spindle bushes in hedgerows, scrub, gardens, and woodland margins. It is mainly active at night and flies readily when disturbed, while resting quietly on vegetation by day. Adults drink little or no food, relying largely on reserves accumulated as caterpillars; their white, black-speckled wings give them a distinctive ermine-like appearance.
