Imperial Moth
Eacles imperialis
Adult imperial moths live in deciduous forests, woodland edges, and suburban areas with suitable host trees. They fly mainly at night and are attracted to lights, while males use their large feathery antennae to detect females. Adults do not feed because their mouthparts are reduced, surviving on energy stored as caterpillars.
