Silverfish
Lepisma saccharinum

The adult silverfish is a wingless, nocturnal insect often found in humid rooms, basements, bathrooms, and stored materials. It eats carbohydrates and proteins from sources such as book bindings, wallpaper paste, cereals, cotton, and dead insects. When exposed, it darts away in a fishlike wriggle and squeezes into narrow crevices. Adults are long-lived for small insects and continue molting even after maturity.
