Glass Anemone
Exaiptasia diaphana

Glass anemones live attached to rocks, reef rubble, docks, and other firm surfaces in shallow warm seas. Their spreading tentacles capture zooplankton and other tiny drifting prey, while symbiotic algae can supply additional energy. Despite their delicate translucent appearance, they can rapidly retract their tentacles and sting nearby animals with nematocysts.
