Oriental Longheaded Locust
Acrida cinerea

The adult Oriental Longheaded Locust inhabits grassy fields, marsh edges, and cultivated ground across much of East Asia. It feeds chiefly on grasses and other low-growing plants, moving through vegetation with long hops and short flights. Its exceptionally elongated, pointed head and slim body make it difficult to spot among upright grass stems. Adults can fly when disturbed, often settling again deep in cover.
