Mediterranean Green Crab

Adults live along Mediterranean coasts in lagoons, estuaries, and sheltered rocky shores. They are opportunistic omnivores that crush or pick apart mollusks, worms, crustaceans, algae, and carrion with their claws. Their mottled green-brown shell helps them blend into the seabed, and they can tolerate substantial changes in salinity.
