Black Millipede
Cylindroiulus londinensis

Black millipedes inhabit moist woodland litter, gardens, and sheltered soil rich in decaying vegetation. They are slow-moving decomposers that feed mainly on dead plant matter and fungi. When disturbed, they curl into a defensive coil and can release irritating chemical secretions.
