Green Sea Urchin
Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis

Adult green sea urchins inhabit rocky coasts, kelp forests, and other cold North Atlantic seabeds. They use a complex tooth-bearing mouth to scrape algae, seaweed, and attached animals from the substrate. Movable spines and tube feet provide defense and grip, and adults may cover themselves with debris for added protection.
