False Chinch Bug
Nysius raphanus
Adult false chinch bugs inhabit weedy fields, grasslands, and agricultural areas with abundant seed plants. They feed on seeds and plant fluids, sometimes becoming numerous enough to damage young crops. Unlike the nymph, the adult has fully developed wings and can disperse to new food plants by flight.
