Tete Sea Catfish
Ariopsis seemanni

Tete Sea Catfish inhabit coastal waters, estuaries, and lower rivers, often moving between fresh and salt water. They patrol near the bottom and use sensitive barbels to find crustaceans, worms, and small fish. Adults are active swimmers that can travel well offshore. Sharp dorsal and pectoral spines can inflict painful venomous wounds when the fish is handled.
