Blue Leg Hermit Crab
Clibanarius tricolor

Adults inhabit shallow reefs, tide pools, and seagrass beds throughout the Caribbean and nearby western Atlantic waters. They are active scavengers and grazers, using their claws to pick algae, detritus, and small animal matter from the substrate. The vivid blue banding on their legs makes this small hermit crab especially recognizable despite the borrowed snail shell it carries.
