Yellow-throated Toucan
Ramphastos ambiguus

Adult Yellow-throated Toucans inhabit the forest canopy from humid lowlands to mountain foothills in Central and northwestern South America. They travel between fruiting trees, using the long bill to reach and toss food before swallowing it. Along with fruit, they opportunistically eat insects, eggs, and small vertebrates. Despite its impressive size, the bill is lightweight because its interior is largely hollow and honeycombed.
