Chain Moray Eel
Echidna catenata

The chain moray eel lives among coral reefs, rocky holes, and rubble slopes in warm coastal seas. It spends much of the day concealed in a crevice, lunging out to seize fishes and crustaceans. Its pale body is covered in a dark chain-like pattern that helps break up its outline against the reef.
