Stygian Shadowdragon
Neurocordulia yamaskanensis
Adults patrol sunny openings and shaded corridors near forest streams and rivers. They capture small flying insects in mid-air, using sharp vision and a basket of spiny legs to hold prey. The dark-bodied dragonfly is a powerful, agile flier that returns to waterside vegetation to rest and hunt.
