Banded Sphinx
Eumorpha fasciatus

Adult banded sphinx moths inhabit gardens, open woodland, field margins, and other areas with nectar-rich flowers. They fly quickly at dusk and after dark, hovering at blooms to drink nectar with a long proboscis. Their broad, banded hindwings are often flashed during flight, while their streamlined bodies allow sustained, agile movement.
