Sooty-winged Chalcoela
Chalcoela iphitalis

Adults fly through grassy openings, field margins, and woodland edges, often becoming active around dusk and at night. They take nectar from flowers while searching for suitable plants on which to lay eggs. The dark, sooty wings provide subdued camouflage when the moth rests against bark or dead vegetation.
