Cherry Bark Moth
Enarmonia formosana
Adult cherry bark moths rest quietly on tree trunks in orchards, hedgerows, and woodland edges where Prunus trees grow. They fly mostly around dusk and at night, seeking mates and suitable bark crevices for egg-laying. Adults take little or no food, relying on reserves accumulated as larvae. Their mottled brown wings help them blend into rough bark while at rest.
