Scallop Shell Moth
Hydria undulata

Adult Scallop Shell Moths inhabit woodland edges, hedgerows, and gardens with nearby deciduous trees. They are chiefly active at night and may visit flowers for nectar while searching for mates. By day, the moth rests with patterned wings folded, its scalloped wing margins helping it blend into bark and dead leaves.
