Spanish Stick Insect
Pijnackeria hispanica
The adult Spanish stick insect inhabits scrubland and grassy vegetation across parts of the Iberian Peninsula. It browses on leaves, relying on stillness and a branch-like shape to remain concealed during the day. Adults are wingless and can sway with surrounding vegetation to strengthen their disguise.
