Silver Carp
Hypophthalmichthys molitrix

Adult silver carp inhabit large rivers, lakes, and reservoirs with abundant suspended plankton. They are filter feeders, straining phytoplankton and zooplankton through specialized gill rakers while swimming. When startled by noise or vibration, they may launch themselves dramatically out of the water.
