Lucerne Bug
Adelphocoris lineolatus

Adult lucerne bugs occur in crop fields, meadows, and weedy margins where host plants are abundant. They use a piercing beak to draw fluids from stems, buds, flowers, and seeds, and may damage growing legumes. Adults are active walkers and capable fliers, moving between plants when disturbed or when food declines. Their narrow greenish-brown bodies and fine markings make them difficult to spot among vegetation.
