Saddle-billed Stork
Ephippiorhynchus senegalensis
The Saddle-billed Stork lives around African wetlands, seasonal floodplains, lakes, and slow rivers. It stalks through shallow water before striking quickly at fish, frogs, crabs, reptiles, and small birds. Adults are among the tallest storks, recognized by their enormous red-and-black bill with its distinctive yellow saddle.
