Asian Cotton Leafworm
Spodoptera litura
The adult Asian cotton leafworm is a nocturnal moth found around crop fields, grasslands, gardens, and other disturbed habitats. It flies after dusk, visits flowers for nectar, and searches for suitable plants on which to lay eggs. Its patterned brown forewings help it blend into bark, dead leaves, and soil when resting by day.
