Greater Wax Moth Larva
Galleria mellonella (larva)
Greater wax moth larvae live inside honeybee colonies, especially in neglected hives and stored comb. They tunnel through beeswax, feeding on pollen, honey residues, shed bee skins, and brood remains. Silk-lined tunnels protect the caterpillar from worker bees and leave conspicuous webbing through damaged comb.
