Band-winged Dragonlet
Erythrodiplax umbrata

The adult Band-winged Dragonlet patrols sunny ponds, marsh edges, and open clearings near still water. It hunts flying insects such as mosquitoes, flies, and small moths, catching them in its bristly legs while airborne. Males often perch low and make short, rapid flights to defend feeding or breeding areas. The dark bands on its hindwings are especially noticeable in flight.
