Pollock
Pollachius pollachius

Adult pollock inhabit coastal reefs, kelp forests, and offshore waters across the northeast Atlantic. They actively pursue smaller fish, squid, and crustaceans, often feeding in midwater near rocky structure. A curved lateral line and projecting lower jaw help distinguish this species from the closely related coalfish.
