Thicklip Grey Mullet
Chelon labrosus

Adult thicklip grey mullet live along rocky coasts, estuaries, and brackish lagoons, tolerating considerable changes in salinity. They use their distinctive thick upper lips to graze algae and sift detritus from surfaces and sediment. Adults can make powerful leaps from the water when startled or pursued.
