Atlantic Mudskipper
Periophthalmus barbarus

Adults live across intertidal mudflats and mangrove swamps, moving between shallow water and exposed ground with the tide. They eat small crabs, insects, worms, and other invertebrates caught in the mud. Moist skin and the lining of the mouth allow this fish to breathe air during time spent ashore.
