Asian Shore Crab
Hemigrapsus sanguineus

Adults occupy rocky coasts, jetties, and estuaries, often sheltering beneath stones or in narrow cracks at low tide. They are opportunistic omnivores that eat algae, carrion, mussels, worms, and smaller crustaceans. Originally native to the western Pacific, this adaptable crab has become established along many Atlantic coasts.
