Atlas Moth
Attacus atlas
The adult Atlas moth inhabits warm forests and woodland edges across South and Southeast Asia. It is active mainly at night, flying to locate mates, but it does not feed because its adult mouthparts are greatly reduced. With a wingspan that can exceed 25 centimetres, it is among the largest moths in the world.
