Tasmanian Pademelon
Thylogale billardierii

The Tasmanian pademelon inhabits wet forests, fern gullies, scrub, and forest edges across Tasmania. It is most active around dusk and at night, feeding on grasses, sedges, herbs, leaves, and fungi. When threatened, it uses rapid bounding hops and dense vegetation to escape, while males may kick and box during disputes.
