Lesser Mouse-Deer
Tragulus javanicus

The lesser mouse-deer inhabits dense tropical forest, thickets, and vegetation along waterways in Southeast Asia. It feeds mostly on fallen fruit, leaves, shoots, and fungi, usually moving cautiously through cover. Despite its deer-like appearance, males lack antlers and instead use elongated canine teeth in disputes.
