White-eyed Parakeet
Psittacara leucophthalmus

White-eyed Parakeets inhabit forest margins, savanna woodland, palm groves, and cultivated areas across much of South America. They fly swiftly between feeding sites, using their strong hooked bills to eat fruits, seeds, flowers, and buds. The species is named for the conspicuous pale bare ring around each eye, which contrasts with its mostly green plumage.
