Omnivorous Tussock Moth
Acyphas semiochrea
The adult moth is a nocturnal flier found around woodland and other vegetated habitats. It spends daylight hours resting against bark or among leaves, relying on its muted patterning for concealment. Adults emerge from the cocoon with broad wings, while males use their feathery antennae to locate mates.
