Green Discus
Symphysodon aequifasciatus
Green Discus live in warm, slow-moving Amazonian waters with tangled roots, submerged wood, and dense cover. They graze and pick through debris for small invertebrates, organic matter, and plant material. Adults are notable for their highly compressed disc-shaped bodies, which let them turn precisely through cluttered habitat.
