Mediterranean Cone Snail
Conus ventricosus

This cone snail lives on Mediterranean seabeds, especially among rocks, sand, and seagrass. It hunts worms and other small invertebrates by extending a proboscis and firing a venomous radular tooth. Its intricately patterned cone-shaped shell provides both protection and camouflage against the seafloor.
