Eastern Quoll
Dasyurus viverrinus

Eastern quolls inhabit forests, heathland, farmland edges, and rocky shelter sites in southeastern Australia and Tasmania. Mostly nocturnal and solitary, they hunt insects, small mammals, reptiles, birds, and carrion with agile bursts and sharp teeth. They den in hollow logs, rock crevices, or burrows lined with grass. Their pale spots remain visible from youth through adulthood and help distinguish them from other small marsupial predators.
