Brown House Moth
Hofmannophila pseudospretella

Adult brown house moths shelter in dim indoor spaces, outbuildings, nests, and other dry refuges. They fly mainly at dusk and night, seeking mates and suitable places to lay eggs rather than feeding on household fabrics. The adults are often noticed when their mottled brown wings flutter from a wall or cupboard.
