Indian Spot-billed Duck
Anas poecilorhyncha

Indian Spot-billed Ducks inhabit lakes, marshes, rice paddies, and slow-moving freshwater across South Asia. They feed by dabbling and upending in shallow water, taking seeds, aquatic plants, insects, molluscs, and small crustaceans. Adults are recognized by the yellow-tipped dark bill with red spots near its base, a feature that gives the species its name.
