Canada Darner
Aeshna canadensis
Adult Canada Darners patrol woodland ponds, marshes, and forest clearings across much of Canada. They catch mosquitoes, flies, and other flying insects in mid-air using their spiny legs. Their large compound eyes give them excellent vision for tracking prey while in flight.
