Glossy Swiftlet
Collocalia esculenta
Glossy Swiftlets inhabit tropical forests, coasts, and caves across Southeast Asia and nearby islands. They spend much of the day flying rapidly over open areas, catching tiny insects in the air. Adults roost and breed in caves, attaching their nests to vertical surfaces. Their saliva-built nests are a notable feature of the species.
