Peacock Swallowtail
Papilio blumei
Adult peacock swallowtails fly through tropical forest clearings, forest edges, and flowering gardens on Sulawesi and nearby islands. They visit flowers for nectar and move quickly between sunny openings in the canopy. Males are especially notable for their iridescent green-blue hindwings, which flash differently as the viewing angle changes.
