Grape Wood Borer
Chlorophorus varius
The adult grape wood borer occurs around sunny woodland edges, vineyards, and areas with dead hardwood. It visits flowers for pollen and nectar, while females seek suitable wood in which to lay eggs. Its yellow-green and black patterned wing covers provide a notable camouflage effect among bark and vegetation.
